Police have charged a ninth person with murder over the death of a 21-year-old man at a Logan house party in July.

Jongkuch Kur Jongkuch died on August 1, days after being allegedly assaulted by a group of people at an out-of-control house party at Bahrs Scrub.

The Redbank Plains man was discovered unconscious with critical head injuries on Orchard Avenue just after 2am on July 26.

Last month, police charged eight teenagers aged between 17 and 19 with his murder.

On Wednesday, detectives charged a ninth person, a 17-year-old Inala boy, with murder.

Police have alleged the teenagers who fatally attacked Mr Jongkuch came to the party armed and "prepared to inflict harm" on the people there.

The 17-year-old arrested this week will face the Beenleigh Children's Court on Thursday.

Police acknowledged the assistance of residents, community leaders and representatives who encouraged members of the community to come forward with information throughout the investigation.
