‘Big Brother’ Reveals Season 28 Winner: See Who Won the Game (and America’s Favorite Houseguest)

[This story contains MAJOR spoilers from the finale of Big Brother season 28.]

Big Brother has found its 28th winner!

After nearly two months of game, the reality competition series has found its next winner. The jury has voted, and they named Rick Devens the winner of Big Brother 28. Devens won by a vote of 6-1, with Taylor Brown coming in second place.

Also announced on Thursday night’s finale episode was the winner of America’s favorite houseguest, the fan-voted title bestowed on one of this season’s players: It was revealed Devens also won the title. That brought his total winnings for the season up to $810,000.

The winner of Big Brother takes home a $750,000 prize, while the runner-up receives $75,000. America’s favorite houseguest earns $50,000.

This year’s jury included LaTrice “Lala” Verrett, Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, Yash Patel, Melody Morris, Dee Valladares and Drew Campbell.

This marks the first time a Survivor player has won Big Brother. Devens recently appeared on Survivor‘s landmark 50th season, but first appeared on the show for Edge of Extinction (the show’s 38th season). However, he was not the only Survivor player or returning reality TV personality to appear on this season of Big Brother.

Season 28 marked the second time Survivor players made the jump to Big Brother; Cirie Fields appeared on season 25 of the latter season, as both Dee (winner of Survivor 45) and Devens were announced as surprise additions to season 28 this year. Dubbed the “icons,” they joined Big Brother alum Angela as previous reality TV vets to join this summer’s cast.

Jason De Puy also previously appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race and the All Stars spinoff, but opted not to tell his fellow houseguests about his unscripted TV experience.

Earlier in the episode, Taylor won the first part of the final Head of Household competition. That left Drew and Devens to battle it out in part two, with Devens ultimately winning the second part of the HOH competition.

Taylor and Devens went against one another in the third part of the HOH, with Devens winning and securing his spot in the final two.

From there, Devens chose evict Drew, sending Taylor into the top two, also cementing Drew as the final member of this year’s jury.
