Did Jeremy Clarkson just hint at Clarkson's Farm ending?

There's no question that Jeremy Clarkson's Prime Video show Clarkson's Farm has been a huge success, but once it returns for the recently-filmed season six, will it return for a seventh? Well, the man himself has hinted that it may have reached its conclusion.

Although any concrete word on the programme's future is yet to come, the broadcaster was speaking at the Royal Television Society London Convention when he appeared to express uncertainty about it.

“We wrapped Season 6 of Clarkson’s Farm final yesterday, and Season 7 is kind of [like]: ‘What are we going to do?'” he said, according to Deadline.

Saying that his mind is turning to “fewer, bigger, better” TV ideas, the former Top Gear host said: "We’re currently thinking about what we do after Clarkson’s Farm, and it’s going to have to be something bigger to stand out to protect us from this onslaught from [social media content] underneath. It has to be unbelievably ambitious.

"It’s very difficult to make a television show work unless you’re cooking on the moon or doing something incredible, and that’s where I think television has to get bigger, lose scheduling, and get bigger."

Clarkson's Farm season five was released in June and saw Clarkson disclose his prostate cancer diagnosis. He has since confirmed he's in remission.

Meanwhile, his former show The Grand Tour has made its comeback with three new hosts: James Engelsman, Thomas Holland and Francis Bourgeois.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Bourgeois recalled his meeting with "gentle giant" Clarkson, saying: "It was amazing. I thought back to the first time I watched Top Gear, and I was probably about eight, and it was one of the best moments of my childhood. I was just wetting myself.

"I found it so funny, yet they were talking about cars! Sunday night, watching Top Gear, was like Christmas. Building up to it, and then the suspense, and after... it was like 'ah, I've got to wait to next week'."

He added: "So for that relationship to the show, to be a part of all of our car enthusiasms, to then meet him, to see him and to shake his hand... it was an honour. He is a gentle giant."
