Stephen Graham's twisted serial killer thriller is one of 6 shows you need to watch this week

It's that time of the week again, when your best friend Digital Spy previews some of the most exciting shows that are hitting the small screen in the coming days. And true to form, it's a stacked line-up!
This week alone, we have a brand-new romantic drama from ITV, a returning crime drama featuring one of the TV's most iconic characters, and a new serial killer thriller starring Stephen Graham.
And given Halloween is on the horizon too, there's also a new horror mystery that is set to get viewers talking. That's enough of the preamble, so here our six shows that you should definitely check out this week.
Adultery

This six-part series is from Danny Brocklehurst, who is known for helming adaptations of Harlan Coben's works. Rather than a traditional mystery thriller, however, his latest work is a romantic drama.
At the centre is Tom (Dominic Cooper) and Beth (Romola Garai), a pair who immediately become attracted to each other. Their romance is confused by the fact that they're both married, and that their teenage children are dating each other.
Adultery premieres tonight at 9pm on ITV1, and will stream on ITVX.
The One About Matthew Perry

Netflix's three-part docuseries, directed and produced by Mary Robertson, tells the story of Friends star Matthew Perry, the beloved actor and comedian who passed away at the age of 54 in October 2023.
The series will feature "intimate" interviews from some of Perry's family members and closest friends, with the documentary detailing the "battles" fought by the late actor to become "the man behind the icon".
The One About Matthew Perry streams from Tuesday 27 October on Netflix.
The Perfect Lie

A new psychological thriller from South Korea, which is actually an adaptation of ITV series Liar. The plot follows Kang Ji-seon (Seo Hyun-jin), a school teacher who becomes romantically involved with cardiac surgeon Min Jun-ho (Yoo Yeon-seok).
After spending a seemingly wonderful night together, a strange occurrence happens as they have different memories of the evening. But as the search for the truth begins, the line between reality and fiction blurs.
The Perfect Lie streams from Friday 30 October on Disney+.
Nocturne

Another new show, this time from Apple TV, with the six-part series being inspired by the Joona Linna series of novels by Lars Kepler. The narrative follows Jonah Lynn (Liev Schreiber), a former homicide detective who relocates to a small town in Pennsylvania.
He gets more than he bargained for, however, when the legacy of serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham) comes to the fore. One of his victims surprisingly turns up alive, leading to all sorts of chaos.
Nocturne streams from Friday 30 October on Apple TV.
Dexter: Resurrection season 2

Another serial killer here, with the titular character (played by Michael C Hall) returning for his latest story. He meets a dangerous new rival, with The New York Ripper (played by Brian Cox) still having a thirst for blood.
If that wasn't enough, then The Five Borough Killer (portrayed by Dan Stevens) is also running amok. As he taunts local law enforcement with threats of new crimes, will he be brought to justice by Dexter?
Dexter: Resurrection season 2 streams from Friday 30 October on Paramount+.
Yaga

A real treat for horror fans on the night of Halloween, as this Canadian supernatural mystery series centres on Detective Charlie Rapp (Noah Reid) as he heads to a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a fishery heir.
Naturally, it won't all be plain sailing for Charlie, as he finds himself at odds with some members of the local community. Though the town may appear picturesque, is there something sinister lurking nearby?
Yaga premieres on Saturday 31 October at 9pm on Sky Atlantic, and will also stream on NOW.
