He may be leaving the ITV soap in the not-so-distant future, but Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson recently had something to celebrate as he tied the knot with Sammie Johnstone last month.

The actor, who plays Vinny Dingle, wed his partner in the Tennessee city of Nashville in September, and has just had a party back in the UK to celebrate the occasion - with some of his co-stars attending!

Natalie Ann Jamieson, who portrayed Amy Wyatt on the soap until her departure last year, shared several photos and videos from the evening via Instagram Stories. In one slide, she said she had the "best night celebrating the best couple" (via Yahoo! News).

Several Emmerdale stars could be seen in Jamieson's snaps and videos, with Katie Hill (Sarah Sugden), Joe-Warren Plant (Jacob Sugden) and Bradley Riches (Lewis Barton) all being spotted at the event.

Olivia Bromley, who played Dawn Fletcher, also shared some posts from the evening. One video showed Riches dancing rather extravagantly, while another - which was reposted by Johnson - was a photo of the happy couple.

Johnson, who has played Vinny since 2019, confirmed on 13 September that he tied the knot with his partner. In an Instagram post, which featured a cute video of the pair, he wrote that he had "eloped to Nashville" and "married the love of my life".

The post was warmly received by several co-stars and followers, with on-screen adoptive mother Lisa Riley commenting: "Love love love love and more love coming your way!!! CONGRATULATIONS. Many years of happiness. Love from Me and your Uncle AL."

"Awww, you guys! Please tell me Elvis was involved? Massive congratulations to you both!" wrote one follower, while co-star Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle Dingle) called them a "pair of beauties inside and out".

The great news in Johnson's personal life comes amid more concerning matters for his Emmerdale character, with Vinny having to face the music following his part in the devastating incident which claimed the lives of Jimmy King and Dawn.

The sentencing, which takes place in today's (12 October), comes just days after the actor officially confirmed that he would be departing the soap after seven years, though this development had been rumoured since May.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
