Juventus have confirmed that Nico Gonzalez and Zeki Celik are both set for spells on the sidelines after suffering muscular injuries during Thursday evening’s 2-2 draw against Rennes in the Europa League.
Celik opened the scoring after five minutes on Thursday evening, prior to Juventus falling 2-1 behind and fighting back for a 2-2 draw, but has picked up a low-grade strain to his left hamstring, the club has confirmed.

Nico Gonzalez has also suffered a strain to the soleus in his right leg. Both have started their respective rehabilitation programmes, the club confirmed.

It is another headache for head coach Luciano Spalletti, who has already had to go without Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram and Manuel Locatelli for most of the 2026-27 season thus far. Francisco Conceicao is also recovering from a dislocated shoulder, whilst Jeff Ekhator and Kamil Grabara are also out.
This leaves the Bianconeri particularly short on attacking options ahead of their trip to Lecce in Serie A on Sunday evening.
