N. Sembilan Ruler formally revokes appointments of 10 exco members

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 — The Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir has revoked the appointments of 10 state executive council members, according to a state government gazette.

The gazette said Tuanku Muhriz withdrew his consent and cancelled their appointments after stating that they had breached their oath of loyalty.

It said the 10 Exco members had taken and signed their oath and pledge of loyalty before Tuanku Muhriz on August 7, before taking their seats in the State Executive Council.

According to the gazette, the oath included pledging loyalty to the Ruler and the Royal Institution, protecting and preserving the sovereignty of the Negeri Sembilan Constitution, and recognising the authority vested in the Dewan Keadilan dan Undang.

It said the 10 had breached the oath through their actions and statements on September 15.

The cancellation of their appointments took effect immediately on September 20, 2026, according to the gazette.

The 10 affected Exco members are Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli, Datuk Haji Zaifulbahri Haji Idris, Datuk Mustapha Nagoor, Siow Kong Choon, Siti Nur Umaira Hasim, Datuk Haji Mohd Asna Haji Amin, Datuk Mohd Razi Mohd Ali, Suhaimizan Bizar, Mohd Fairuz Mohd Isa and Datuk Razali Abu Samah.

The gazette said the revocation was made under Article XXXVIII(5) of the Laws of the Constitution of Negeri Sembilan 1959, which provides that a State Executive Council member other than the Menteri Besar holds office for as long as the Ruler consents.

The gazette was issued as the Government of Negeri Sembilan Gazette, dated September 20, 2026.
