Lioness star Zoe Saldaña reveals why we shouldn’t expect to see her on another Taylor Sheridan show

Taylor Sheridan's empire of Paramount+ dramas seems to be exponentially expanding, with the writer currently behind series including Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Landman, Marshals, The Madison, Dutton Ranch and the upcoming Frisco King.

He is also the creator of Lioness, an action spy thriller starring Zoe Saldaña, and has a habit of using some actors in multiple projects, leading fans to wonder whether Saldaña could make a move across to one of Sheridan's other shows.

However, Saldaña has now confirmed this isn't on the cards, telling People that her character Joe McNamara and the series is "all that I can handle at this time".

She explained: "I’m number one on the call sheet. I am first one in, last one out. I am prepping months before anybody ever is able to prep. So it’s already a lot of work for me. I can’t imagine me taking on more of a Taylor Sheridan world."

Saldaña added: "The good takeaway that I’m grateful for is that he knows that I’m reliable, just like Joe is."

She said that Sheridan knows she is “honest,” “tough as nails” and “vocal and opinionated,” adding: "I have my views, and I come with all heart, all brains, all muscle at all times. So, no, I think I’m good here at Lioness."

The third season of Lioness, which also stars Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Kelly recently came to an end, and the show has yet to be officially renewed for season 4.

Yellowstone fans had been expecting another series to be added to Sheridan's roster, Paramount having announced back in 2022 that the franchise creator was developing a spinoff titled 6666, which would be set at the real-life ranch of the same name.

However, Sheridan, who owns the real life ranch along with a group of investors since 2020, recently said that he would "never fictionalise that ranch," adding: "So now I’m trivialising and fictionalising something where real people work, and they raise their families there, and I could never do that to them.

"I could never do that to the cowboys that dedicated themselves, and everybody that works on that ranch."
