WWE NXT pulled in just 520,000 viewers on October 27, its lowest audience since May 19, and Game 4 of the 2026 World Series was airing against it. The Milwaukee Brewers faced the Tampa Bay Rays that night while NXT ran on The CW. The show also slipped in the key 18-49 demographic with a 0.09 rating. Week to week, the audience fell 20.6% from October 20, and the demo rating dropped 10%. Not a great Tuesday for WWE's developmental brand, especially next to its recent television numbers.
NXT loses over 130,000 viewers as World Series Game 4 takes the spotlight
Total viewership took the biggest hit. NXT went from 655,000 viewers on October 20 to 520,000 a week later, so that's 135,000 viewers gone in seven days.
The October 27 episode also landed 22.4% under its 10-week average of 670,000 viewers. And the 0.09 demo rating tied for the show's lowest mark since August 4, the same figure it recorded on September 22.
The competition was tough. Game 4 of the World Series went to extra innings, and Tampa Bay beat Milwaukee 4-3 in the 12th. Because of that win the Rays kept series alive, though the Brewers still lead 3-1.
WWE NXT remains below its recent averages despite a better year-over-year demo rating
Looking at the 10-week comparison makes the numbers look even worse. Heading into October 27, NXT had averaged 670,000 viewers and a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The latest episode came in 22.4% below that audience average and 25% below the average demo rating.
There was one bright spot in the report, though. Against corresponding week in 2025, total viewership was down just 1.3%, but the 18-49 rating was up 28.6%. It's also NXT's third straight year-over-year increase in the key demographic, and the fourth in the last five weeks.
The October 20 episode had already lost viewers, going up against the opening night of the NBA season. It drew 655,000 viewers and a 0.10 demo rating.
The October 27 broadcast had Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar beating The Vanity Project in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic semifinals, plus several other matches and segments ahead of Halloween Havoc.
