Babu Owino Defends Marriage to Frida, Opens Up About Being Raised by Single Mother

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has challenged Nairobi County official Geoffrey Mosiria to publicly produce the woman he is allegedly being linked to, insisting that Frida remains his wife.

Babu questioned claims suggesting that another woman was being presented as his spouse, demanding that anyone being associated with him in that capacity be brought forward publicly.

“Any other wife I am being given by Mosiria, I want that wife aatolewe in public aletwe,” Babu said.

Babu speaks about raising children

The MP also opened up about his childhood, revealing that he was raised by a single mother after his father died when he was in Class Three.

Babu said growing up without his father exposed him to the challenges women face when raising children alone, particularly the struggle to secure money for basic needs such as food and clothing.

“You know it is quite painful. Babu was raised by a single mom after my dad passed when I was in class three; I know what single women go through in this country. Looking for money to feed their children, looking for money for clothing,” Babu said.

He further maintained that he would not abandon any of his children, regardless of where they were, stressing that he understood the responsibility that came with providing for them.
