Rin Suzukawa's Outsider Paradise Manga Switches Publishers to Kadokawa, Gets Full Color Continuation
Rin Suzukawa announced on her X/Twitter account on Wednesday that her Outsider Paradise has switched publishers from Futabasha to Kadokawa. The manga moved from Futabasha's Manga Action magazine to Kadokawa's KadoComi website. The manga will have black-and-white art until the 18th chapter, but will be in full color beginning with the 19th chapter.
The first three chapters are available on KadoComi now. The end of the first chapter also noted that Kadokawa will release digital versions of the manga's two compiled book volumes in early 2027, and that the second volume will contain an extra chapter in full color. Suzukawa is currently planning the full color chapters, and plans to introduce a story where the girls are "a little more grown up."
The manga has been on hiatus since the manga's 18th chapter in 2024 due to Suzukawa's poor health.
The manga centers on five eccentric girls in an art club, who have all been friends since the first year of middle school. The story is related to Suzukawa's earlier Asobi Asobase manga, with the art club the characters belong to being the same art club in the earlier manga.
Suzukawa launched the manga in Manga Action in May 2023. Futabasha published the manga's second volume in April 2024.
Suzukawa launched the Asobi Asobase (Play and Let Play) manga on Hakusensha's Young Animal Densi manga website in 2015, but moved it to the main Young Animal magazine in November 2016. The manga ended in November 2022. U.S.-based localization company Comikey Media Inc. began digitally publishing the manga in English in September 2021. Dark Horse Comics also licensed the manga, and will release the first volume on November 17.
The manga's anime adaptation premiered in July 2018 and ran for 12 episodes. A separate anime on DVD shipped with the manga's seventh volume in December 2018.
Suzukawa launched the Galaxy Pū-chan Uchū no Hajikko de Konnichiwa (Galaxy Pū-chan: Hello from the Edge of the Universe) full-color manga on Shogakukan's Manga ONE app on January 4. Shogakukan published the manga's first volume on July 17.
