Zii Jia resolves dispute with father, sister over company management

National men’s singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia has resolved his dispute with his father and sister over the finances and management of LZJ Management Sdn Bhd.
The High Court here today recorded a consent judgment setting out the terms agreed on by the parties before Justice Leong Wai Hong.
Zii Jia was the applicant while his father, Lee Chee Hin, 59, and younger brother, Lee Tao, 25, were named as the second and fourth respondents. His elder sister, Lee Zii Yii, 30, was the third respondent while LZJ Management was the first respondent.
Zii Yii was absent from court as she was overseas.
Under the consent judgment, the parties agreed to hold an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on Oct 31, with the company to bear the cost.
Until the EGM is held, Chee Hin and Zii Yii are restrained by an injunction from approving, paying or authorising any directors’ fees, allowances, bonuses, rewards or other financial benefits to themselves from LZJ Management, except for monthly salaries calculated from Sept 1, 2026.
They are also restrained from approving or authorising resolutions involving the appointment or removal of directors, the appointment of a company secretary, the disposal of material assets, the issuance of new shares, changes to the shareholding structure, or any decisions that would materially affect the company’s management, administration or control, without prior court approval.
The court made no order as to costs.
On July 2, Zii Jia filed an application for an interim injunction to prevent his father and elder sister from making certain decisions concerning the company’s finances and management.
Lawyer Ahmad Zayd Ahmad Zuber appeared for Zii Jia, Samantha Cheng for LZJ Management, and Adrian Ng for the second to fourth respondents.
