The city government then warned that excess water from the La Mesa Dam may affect low-lying areas along Tullahan River such as Fairview, Forest Hills Subdivision, Quirino Highway, and San Bartolome.

Meanwhile, the alert levels were lifted from Marikina River and Quirino-Tullahan River as their water status declined from 15.09 m to 14.98 m and from 38.44 m to 38.44 m, respectively.

There was still no alert level raised over San Juan River, where its water level rose from 11.79 m to 11.97 m.

In its 5 a.m. weather forecast on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said that the habagat will continue to prevail over western portions of Luzon and Visayas.
