Nestor Babagay named top cop of Northern Mindanao

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY—Police Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr. formally assumed leadership of the Northern Mindanao regional police during turnover rites on Thursday at Camp 1Lt. Vicente Alagar here.

Babagay, who served as Bicol regional police director, is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy “Patnubay” Class of 1995.

He succeeded Brig. Gen. Aaron Mandia, who was designated acting regional police director after Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano was named as officer-in-charge director of the National Capital Region Police Office.
