Big Brother fans ask for Love Island-style twist after "gossipy" housemate is branded "fake"

Translate

Big Brother may have returned for a more subdued episode on Sunday (25 October) night, but some viewers think that the popular reality show should take some inspiration from another ITV series.

Most of the episode took place after Harry's eviction, with the remaining housemates having a bonding session as each star was asked to list a favourite thing about the person they thought they were not as close with in the house.

Naturally, they also had to air some home truths about one person, and this led to some stinging words. Through it all, a recurring theme emerged as Rhianna and Philip both seemed to have an issue with Rochelle.

The pair would often converse privately about their fellow housemate, with Rochelle previously being warned by her husband that she should be "careful" of Philip, who she deemed to be a good friend.

With this being the only insight housemates get regarding other interactions in the house, some fans have suggested that the series could implement a twist that is similar to the Movie Night segment on Love Island.

This section, which typically comes late in the season, involves the Islanders watching a packaged montage of their co-stars, which often leads to some surprising reveals and heated conversations.

Suggesting the change, one fan wrote on X: "If you're going to let the house have outside contact, let's do a Love Island movie night where they get to see the clips we have. Let them see Rhianna & Philip bitching, the hierarchy plotting and everything in between."

Another viewer echoed this sentiment, writing: "It's moments like this that I wish Big Brother had movie night like Love Island. That was a new low from Rhianna. Was starting to warm to her as well."

Though Rhianna has received wide support and compassion following her treatment by co-star Omar, the housemate was criticised by viewers following the latest episode, with several accusing her of gossiping to an excessive amount.

"Rhianna is the most gossipy housemate to ever grace big brother, how you gonna swear on your sisters life, then go and do what you said you wouldn't," wrote one viewer, while another opined that she was "fake".

"Rhianna thinks the public doesn't like Rochelle so she's distancing herself to benefit her own game. Sadly for her the public dislike her a lot more than they dislike Rochelle," noted one viewer, while another remarked: "the games the game I guess."

Big Brother airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
