Man bitten after being chased by 3 dogs on his way to work in Yuen Long

A 26-year-old warehouse worker has been injured in Hong Kong after being chased by three dogs and bitten by one of them on his way to work.
A source said police received a report at around 8am on Monday from the victim, surnamed Leung, saying one of the dogs pounced on him as he was walking towards his workplace at a logistics company in Yuen Long’s Kam Pok Road.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the victim with minor wounds. He was sent to Pok Oi Hospital for treatment.
The source said the man had been bitten in the left calf by a six-year-old, 1.2-metre-long (4-foot) female mongrel. The dog was captured by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department for inspection.
The incident is the latest in a series of reported dog attacks in recent months.
Last month, a pack of dogs was suspected to have attacked a 27-year-old woman, who was found unconscious beside a bicycle in Yuen Long and later died. Surveillance footage showed she had been chased by three canines.
In August, a large unleashed mastiff-type dog fatally mauled two smaller pets in Yuen Long, leading to the arrest of its owner.
A few days later, a 33-year-old woman who operated a canine training centre in Ta Kwu Ling, North district, was attacked by a dog at the facility and later found dead nearby.
