WWE's Reported New Recruit Faces Questions After New Update

Silvia Likki may not be joining WWE after all. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported earlier that four athletes had joined the company and were expected to train at the Performance Center, with Likki on that list. According to fresh reports, she isn't among the talents WWE signed. The Italian CrossFit and weightlifting athlete did attend WWE tryout, but that apparently didn't turn into a deal. The other three names on the original list are Elly Finch, Gabriela Martinez Asensi, and Tayleigh Robertson.

Silvia Likki's Reported WWE Signing Has Been Disputed Despite Her Tryout

It all started with Alvarez's report that WWE had recruited four new people for the Performance Center. Likki was named alongside Finch, Asensi, and Robertson.

Then the report said it was told Likki had not signed, which goes straight against the first version. The tryout still happened, though, and nothing in the new report changes that.

Likki is known for CrossFit and weightlifting and has built a following on social media. She also became the first Italian woman to try out for WWE, so her name carried some weight when the list first came out.

She hasn't been quoted on any of this, which means the whole story sits on two outlets saying different things.

It helps to remember how these tryouts work. A tryout is an evaluation and not a contract offer, and the gap between one and a signing can run to months.

German CrossFit athlete Delia Schweizer took part in a big tryout around SummerSlam in New York and signed with WWE in March 2026.

WWE has also been slow to confirm some signings itself, Giulia being one example where the company hadn't officially confirmed it while reports kept coming. So early lists can look cleaner than they really are.

Elly Finch, Gabriela Martinez Asensi, and Tayleigh Robertson Are the Other Reported Recruits

The other three names are still part of the recruitment news. Finch competed in track and field at Michigan State University, and Asensi is a Spanish athlete who played tennis at the University of Missouri.

Asensi speaks Spanish, English, and German, which becomes useful in WWE where talent has to connect with crowds through promos as well as in-ring work.

Robertson has a different background than the other two. She's an amateur wrestler and bodybuilder who studied at Snow College and Utah Tech, so she's the one in the group with prior wrestling experience. All three were reported to have relocated to Orlando, Florida, where WWE's Performance Center is based.
