Tiakola, Rema sync perfectly in 'Best'

The chemistry is amazing as Tiakola and Rema link up for Best. The track is a standout collaboration between French-Congolese rapper Tiakola and Nigerian international superstar Rema, as one of the tracks on Tiakola's newly-released second studio album, WpointM. The song is one of 17 tracks on the project, which represents the next phase of Tiakola's solo career, blending French rap, Afrobeats, and influences drawn from his Congolese heritage.

Produced with contributions from London (who co-produced Best specifically), along with AOD and Washy on the wider album, the track fuses Tiakola's smooth, melodic French rap delivery with Rema's usual Afrobeats cadence, giving both artists room to work within the fluid singing-and-rapping style that has become central to their respective sounds. Tiakola had teased the collaboration ahead of release in the music video for his song Upa Solide, which sparked anticipation among fans.

WpointM as a whole also features collaborations with British singer Jorja Smith, Theodora, Bné, and Congolese group Zaïko Langa Langa, and follows a preface project, WpointM – 93120, a six-track introductory release that came out the day before on September 24, featuring songs like Upa Solide and Winter Melo Music with Leto. That structure gave fans a preview before the full-length arrived.

For Rema, the feature comes during a particularly active international stretch: he was also recently announced as a headliner for Afro Nation Portugal 2027, alongside Davido and Congolese star Fally Ipupa, scheduled for June 9–11, 2027 in Portimão. Best adds to a growing string of cross-border collaborations for Rema, whose catalogue already spans genres and continents since his 2024 album Heis earned him a Grammy nomination.
