Christian Pulisic gets his first start of the season, as Milan bring back Luka Modric with Goncalo Ramos and Alexis Saelemaekers, hosting unpredictable Lecce.

It kicks off at San Siro at 19.45 UK time (20.45 CEST).

The pressure is already building on Ruben Amorim after a dismal run of results, as draws with Juventus and Lazio were followed by a humiliating 2-0 home defeat to Benfica in the Europa League.

The coach was criticised for excessive squad rotation in Wednesday’s game, so returns Modric, Adrien Rabiot and Mario Gila to the starting XI.

More importantly, Pulisic gets his first start of the entire season after fitness problems even for the USMNT at the World Cup, supporting Goncalo Ramos with versatile Saelemaekers.

Samuel Chukwueze is preferred to Diego Moreira, with Pervis Estupinan on the other wing.

Lecce have six points from four Serie A rounds, beating Monza 3-2 in a chaotic match last week.

Willem Geubbels, Omri Gandelman and Medon Berisha are out of action, but Tiago Gabriel is celebrating the new contract to June 2030.

Santiago Pierotti returns to the attack with Nikola Stulic and summer signing Joel Monteiro.

Lecce have not scored a goal at San Siro since their 2-2 draw in October 2019, firing blanks in five consecutive defeats between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

This is a special weekend, as it marks the Centenary of San Siro’s inauguration in September 1926.
