Loke expected to give details of MyEG suspension tomorrow

Transport minister Loke Siew Fook is expected to give details tomorrow on the suspension of two companies under the MyEG group which reportedly owe the road transport department (JPJ) more than RM200 million in fees collected from customers.
A press conference is scheduled for 11am at the transport ministry tomorrow, Harian Metro reported.
On Friday, JPJ said the services of My E.G. Sdn Bhd and its sister company Zetrix AI Bhd as collection agents for JPJ would be suspended.
JPJ director-general Aedy Fadly Ramli said services previously offered through MyEG Group channels will also be suspended, but the department’s services will continue as usual through its own and other available channels.
Zetrix AI, previously known as MyEG Services Bhd, is believed to owe JPJ more than RM200 million in money collected from customers for vehicle road tax, driving licence renewals and traffic summonses.
