Approximately 10 toddlers aged around one year old developed mild allergic symptoms at a daycare center in Betar Illit on Tuesday, prompting an emergency response by Magen David Adom (MDA) medical teams.

MDA paramedics were dispatched to the scene after receiving the call and are providing medical treatment and conducting examinations.

All the toddlers were fully conscious.

Petah Tikva police officers from the Central District opened an investigation on Sunday after receiving a report of several toddlers spotted wandering alone on the street, riding toy cars near a kindergarten in the city without adult supervision.

Officers arrived at the scene, located the toddlers, and ensured they were returned to their parents.

Meanwhile, investigators began examining the circumstances of the incident, including taking witness statements, collecting evidence, and using technological means.

As part of the investigation, two female kindergarten staff members, Petah Tikva residents in their 40s and 50s, were detained for questioning on Monday.

Both women were released under restrictive conditions following questioning.
