Passenger falls onto tracks at Wangsa Maju LRT station

A passenger fell onto the tracks at the Wangsa Maju LRT station this morning after reportedly fainting, causing a brief disruption to services on the Kelana Jaya LRT line.

Rapid KL said its Platform Intrusion Emergency Stop system was activated immediately after the incident at 6.52am, while power to the tracks was temporarily cut off as a safety precaution.

The passenger was rescued from the tracks by station personnel and taken to the emergency room for initial treatment.

Rapid KL advised passengers who feel unwell or need assistance at stations or on platforms to seek help from auxiliary police officers or station personnel.

It also reminded passengers to remain behind the yellow line while waiting for trains.
