Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj turned up for Punjab and Hyderabad respectively and ended the Ranji Trophy round two on the right side of result.

While Punjab defeated Chhattisgarh by seven wickets, Hyderabad, led by Siraj, beat Andhra by 267 runs. The fast bowler picked one wicket across two innings and bowled 15 overs in total.

Gill, however, didn’t lead the side. The India Test captain batted in the first innings and only scored one runs off five balls. Punjab captain Uday Saharan led from the front, scoring 161 runs in the first innings.

Mumbai dominated Himachal Pradesh, defeating it by an innings and 97 runs with Sarfaraz Khan slamming a century.

Vidarbha and Jammu & Kashmir played a thrilling game. J&K only had 79 runs to defend, and it made a match out of it, picking seven Vidarbha wickets before Harsh Dubey and Nachiket Bhute completed the chase.

For Delhi, Priyansh Arya and Ayush Badoni had splendid outings with the bat. While Arya scored 199 opening the innings, Badoni registered his third double century. However, Gujarat also used the good batting conditions to its advantage but couldn’t go past Delhi’s 648/6D. The hosts took three points thanks to first innings lead.
