A Brisbane man has been arrested at the airport as part of an ongoing investigation into Australia's largest cocaine seizure.

The search warrant was executed as part of Operation Minjiang. The operation has now seized 2.78 tonnes of cocaine and 142kg of methamphetamine.

AFP will allege members of a syndicate moved the cocaine from a suspected safe house in Petrie, north of Brisbane to another location in Loganholme, in Brisbane's south.

The Kangaroo Point man allegedly then facilitated the shipment of the cocaine interstate to New South Wales and Victoria through a legitimate transport business.

The drugs were then moved to Londonderry in Sydney's west, police allege.

Police do not believe the trucking business has any involvement or knowledge of the offending.

The electronic devices seized from the Kangaroo Point home will undergo further digital forensic analysis.

The man was charged with one count of possessing a commercial quantity of border controlled drugs and one count of dealing with property reasonable suspected of being proceeds of crime.

The Brisbane man is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Sydney man charged

A separate search warrant was executed yesterday at the Loganholme residence where police found residual packaging alleged to have been used during the trafficking.

In NSW, a search warrant was executed in Erskine Park, where police believed another member of the syndicate lived.

A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with firearm and drug offences.

AFP officers found 28g of cocaine, a semi-automatic 9mm pistol and a single barrel break action sawn off shot gun loaded with one round at the property.

There was also $10,000 in cash police suspect to be proceeds of crime.

He appeared before Penrith Local Court yesterday.

"Operation Minjiang remains ongoing and further charges have not been ruled out," AFP said in a statement.

"A total of 12 people remain before the courts in Queensland and NSW in relation to this criminal enterprise."
