Yves Tumor replaced on Turnstile tour following sexual assault allegations

Yves Tumor will no longer be joining Turnstile‘s tour, following sexual assault allegations against him.

Last month, reports of sexual assault began to emerge against the musician – real name Sean Lee Bowie – after images of a bruised woman were posted to the Yves Tumor subreddit. The photos came alongside text in which one user alleged that he had “sexually assaulted someone close to me last week”.

The post prompted further allegations against the musician, with artist Angel Money taking to X to allege that he had “groped” her on camera.

Another artist, Kidä, who sang on the Yves Tumor song ‘Lovely Sewer’ from his last album ‘Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume‘ and toured as part of his band, also took to X to share her experiences working with him, which she described as “one of the most disrespectful professional experiences of my career”.

Yves Tumor responded to the allegations at the time, taking to his Instagram story to call them “100 per cent untrue and also completely heartbreaking.” He added, “will be taking extreme legal action.” He deleted the post shortly afterwards.

Now, he’s been replaced on Turnstile’s ongoing tour. The shows were announced back in June, with a slew of openers including Clipse, Ceremony, Thundercat, Slayyyter, Hatebreed, Vince Staples and more.

Yves Tumor was scheduled to perform on three dates: yesterday (September 12) in Toronto alongside Saya Gray and Pluto’s Kiss, and then September 26 in Portland, Maine, alongside Fiddlehead. The final planned date was on September 29 in Raleigh alongside Angel Du$t and Agnostic Front.

Canadian hardcore punk band No Warning joined yesterday’s gig instead, and Tampa death metal group Obituary have been announced as replacements for Raleigh. Meanwhile, Dinosaur Jr will be joining for the Portland date.
