Best power bank deals for October 2026

How Digital Spy tests power banks
We tried out the best portable chargers by charging up a range of phones (including Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, and iPhone models) and timing how long they took to recharge. We assessed the design, portability and convenience of the models too.
There are loads of portable chargers on the market, so we focused on some of the most trusted brands for our picks – there's a reason there are several Anker models here, they're super reliable and offered at a range of capacities and prices.

Pros
- Great pocketable size
- Useful kickstand
Cons
- Won't charge fast
If you've got an older iPhone model and only need a little top-up to get you through the day, this Anker is a great option to take everywhere. Like the other magnetic accessories on this list, it just snaps to the back of your iPhone with strong magnets to refuel it.
With 7.5W speeds and 5,000mAh capacity, it's not winning awards for charging speed or size, but it does have a handy kickstand that makes it a smart and convenient two-in-one accessory.

Pros
- Strong magnet and sturdy stand
- Neat LED display
- Fast wired speeds
Cons
- Very expensive
Anker's upgraded Qi2 10K model is our pick for the best magnetic power bank, and we can't think of much you'd want to throw at this that it can't charge.
While arguably chunky, it's more compact and lightweight than other power banks (while including an LED screen!) with the same 10K capacity that will deliver a full charge for most phones with juice left over for a second charge. It has a strong magnetic surface to charge compatible MagSafe iPhones at faster Qi2 speeds of 15W while being ready for future Androids that'll include Qi2 too.
It can also deliver PD speeds via a USB-C cable. Its charging rate doesn't disappoint – its 27W wired speeds get an iPhone 15 back to 60% in 30 minutes. All this, and it has a robust kickstand for watching YouTube on the tabletop too. Yes, it's pricey, but if you need one power bank to do it all, trust us, it's this one.

Anker Anker Nano Power Bank, 10K Portable Charger with Built-in USB-C Cable

Best power bank with a built-in USB-C cable
Anker Anker Nano Power Bank, 10K Portable Charger with Built-in USB-C Cable
Short on space while travelling and need a bit of a "do-it-all" power bank? This is the one we'd recommend for most people because it's so versatile and has a built-in USB-C cable that works as a fast way to get juice into your smartphone, tablet, laptop, Nintendo Switch, headphones and everything in between.
Its 30W maximum speed means it works for delivering a very quick recharge when needed, and the 10K capacity is either enough for almost two full phone charges (depending on your handset) or just keeping your iPad running a little bit longer as you rush to finish some crucial emails.
We love the built-in display that shows off the battery percentage, the extra ports for recharging further tech (it has an additional USB-A and USB-C port for multi-device charging) and how it's lightweight, comes in an appealing range of pastel colours and how it feels sturdy and well-made. We'd struggle to come up with real negatives here, but we do wish it came with a little protective pouch like you used to get with most power banks.

Pros
- Strong kickstand
- Fast charging
Cons
- Gets quite hot
The weight of this power bank means it stays put on the tabletop once you set it up to charge while viewing a few TikToks or Instagram Stories, too. Halfway through an Avatar rewatch on Disney+ and need to continue the movie from your phone? This works just as well in the horizontal orientation as it does in the vertical position.
We like how you can also turn the charging off with a long press of the button, so you can just use it as a stand for those times you want to preserve the juice of the power bank. We tested this out on several iPhones and the Google Pixel models (with the help of these fantastic MagSafe-enabled cases) and can report that it works well with either.
How about the actual charging performance? It's good for a slow trickle charge when used wirelessly, and can recharge a phone back to half full in a speedy half an hour when used with a USB-C cable (it delivers a fast 20W output).

Best travel power bank

Belkin Boost with Stand
Now 47% Off
Pros
- Useful retractable stand
- Decent battery capacity
Cons
- Doesn't support fast charging
The retractable stand and decent 10,000mAh capacity make this a great pick for use on a long trip or commute, so you can use your phone hands-free while catching up on Death in Paradise, Stranger Things or your favourite podcasts.
It's also great if you need to refuel your phone on your lunch break while playing some of the latest releases on Apple Arcade. While it doesn't technically support the fastest charging speeds, we still got an iPhone XR battery back to 50% in 32 minutes via the USB-C port. Game controller running low, too? This can charge a second device simultaneously with the extra USB-A port.

Pros
- Great price for the size
- Power three devices at once
Cons
- Big and heavy
You can only bring batteries up to a certain size on planes, and rules will depend on the airline you're flying with and the countries involved in your journey.
Generally, though, the maximum permitted capacity is just above 20,000mAh, so we'd pick an option like this Belkin to be safe. Power banks of this size tend to be on the expensive side, so we reckon this is good value for money.
With this model, you'll have enough ports to charge three devices at once, and enough juice to charge up an iPhone 12 to full power about four times.

Best power bank with integrated cables
Belkin BoostCharge Plus 10k with integrated Lightning cable & USB-C cable
Pros
- Built-in Lightning and USB-C
- Great capacity
- Slimline
Cons
- Cables are quite short
- You may not need Lightning anymore
Prone to forgetting your cables? Nobody wants to be stuck in a situation where they've got a full power bank but no means to get that juice into their phone. That's why it's so handy that this 10,000mAh Belkin model comes with two cables (one Lightning, one USB-C) built right into the body of the power bank.
One of the slimmest models we've tried at this capacity, it should be capable of charging most phones twice before needing to be recharged. On test, it brought the battery back up to 100% quickly, getting our iPhone 15 Pro half full in just over half an hour.
We like the sleek design, although if you don't need a Lightning cable, we'd now recommend the lighter and more portable Anker Nano power bank with its single built-in USB-C cable.

Belkin 5000mAh Magnetic Wireless Power Bank
Now 13% Off
Pros
- Super strong magnetic hold
- Robust kickstand
Cons
- Picks up dust easily
- Not that fast to charge
We like this Belkin model as a sleek, slim and portable handheld option to rival the magnetic Anker models – it's reliable to recharge from its USB-C port, but we know you'll be considering this for the complete wire-free experience.
We used it to snap onto our iPhone 15 Pro and found it impressive and convenient (with a great magnetic hold). We love the angled edges on the back, found that the button is exactly where you expect it to be, and like how strong the sturdy metal kickstand feels.
If you're looking at a power bank with a stand, it's a good pick. The tension is just right, making it feel more secure than several others we've tried. It also offers pass-through charging so that you can simultaneously wirelessly charge your phone while refuelling the power bank.

Which power bank is best for fast charging?

Are you still using older cables? Your phone will be charging slower than the fast-charge systems available, and the difference can be drastic. If it usually takes an hour to reach 50% charge, a fast charger could get you there in just over 20 minutes.
Many Androids and iPhones are capable of quick charging (iPhone 8 onwards, for example), but you may need a new USB-C cable or Lightning-to-USB-C cable to get these speeds.
Power banks are capable of this too, but you'll need to look for ones with "PD" (aka Power Delivery), as that will give you quick charging.
How do I choose a good power bank?
Size and capacity
Small power banks
Looking at entry-level low-capacity power banks? These are ideal for a quick top-up to get your phone through to the end of the day.
We'd recommend avoiding anything below 5,000mAh, though, as they'll barely recharge today's smartphones. Look for between 5,000 and 10,000mAh.
These usually cost between £10 to £40 (although they can go for more, depending on features), can be as small as a chocolate bar, and 5,000mAh is enough for nearly a full extra charge on most phones.
Mid-range power banks
Many of the best power banks come with a mid-range capacity, as it's a great balance between portability and convenience.
If you pick something with a 10,000mAh battery, expect it to be a bit heftier than the small options (it could be about the same size as your phone), but not so heavy that you'd think twice about throwing one in your bag. These also potentially include fast charging capability and extra ports (more on those below).
High-capacity power banks
When you're after a power bank for a camping trip or weekend getaway, or to power your Switch or laptop, you'll want something with a higher capacity.
Anything with 20,000mAh or above will charge most phones multiple times, and many can charge several devices at the same time. As such, they're usually larger, weightier and can be more expensive.
Wireless charging
If you're prone to forgetting your cable, some power banks can recharge your phone wirelessly. You'll just need to place the smartphone on the charger and press a button to start – you may have to reposition it to get perfect alignment, although there are magnetic models (more on those below) for the latest iPhones that'll always snap into the correct position.
Magnetic power banks
If you've got an Apple iPhone 12 phone or later, there's a new breed of portable charger on the market. Models from Anker, Belkin and Mophie come with magnets to connect wirelessly to the back of newer iPhones, charging them at a standard 7.5W.
They're not fast, but they're arguably some of the most convenient models, and we've included a few favourites in our list.
