WATCH: QC RTC issues arrest warrant vs Sara Duterte | Sept. 4, 2026

Translate

MANILA, Philippines – Authorities and court personnel at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) are awaiting further developments after Branch 98 issued on Friday a warrant of arrest against Vice President Sara Duterte over grave threats.

Duterte’s legal team confirmed that the arrest warrant was issued and stressed that the vice president has no intention of evading the law and will pursue available legal remedies, including questioning the court’s jurisdiction over the case.

The warrant stems from the NBI complaint accusing the Vice President allegedly threatening President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, former Speaker Martin Romualdez. /dp
