Netflix is bringing to life Willy Wonka's chocolate factory in brand new reality series, Wonka's The Golden Ticket.

Based on Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the reality competition series will follow 12 lucky golden ticket winners - each with a partner of their choosing - as they navigate a series of challenges and temptations designed to push them physically, mentally and morally.

Only one contestant will earn the life-changing prize in the "high-stakes social experiment", inspired by the cinematic world many know and love.

Wonka's The Golden Ticket premieres on Netflix on Wednesday 23 September.

The series will not be released at once and is being split across two batches, keeping viewers on their toes for the anticipated finale.

Here is the full episode release schedule for Wonka's The Golden Ticket season 1, based on Netflix's two-part rollout:

• Episodes 1-7 - Wednesday 23 September
• Episodes 8-9 - Wednesday 30 September

The first seven episodes will be released on 23 September, followed by a two-part finale the following week.
