The Entire Dungeon Crawler Carl Series Is Almost Half Price Right Now

As Dungeon Crawler Carl's popularity continues to soar, the entire series is almost half-price right now.

Author Matt Dinniman's LitRPG book series began in 2020 and was eventually bought by Penguin Random House/Ace Books two years ago. So far, eight installments have been released, including Carl's Doomsday Scenario, The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook and The Butcher's Masquerade, with the most recent one, A Parade of Horribles, having just come out in May of this year.

Now all eight Dungeon Crawler Carl hardcover books are up to 43% off on Amazon. The very first book is currently priced at $20.41. The first sequel, Carl's Doomsday Scenario, costs $15.75, while The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook is $17, and The Gate of the Feral Gods is $20.73. The list price for these first four books was $30.

The Butcher's Masquerade, the fifth Dungeon Crawler Carl book, is now $21.29 (down from $35). The Eye of the Bedlam Bride is on sale for $21.28 (from $39). This Inevitable Ruin is now priced at $22.47 (from a list price of $39). Meanwhile, the most recent book, A Parade of Horribles, is currently $22.38 (down from its list price of $32).

Dungeon Crawler Carl tells the story of the titular character Carl and ex Princess Donut, who have to take part in a shocking reality show following an alien invasion that decimates most of the civilization. Participants in the competition are forced to endure all sorts of harrowing obstacles, including fending off monsters and maneuvering through traps.

Dungeon Crawler Carl has proven to be very popular in sci-fi and fantasy communities, with over 14 million copies of the series sold to date, and even became a New York Times bestseller for almost 20 weeks.

New versions of the series are also on the way. On November 17, a deluxe edition of the first book will be released that features a new cover and artwork, stenciled edges, a ribbon marker, and a Q&A with Dinniman.

Graphic novels based on Dungeon Crawler Carl are also being released, and Dinniman even launched a webcomic. The author also has two more installments in the main series that have yet to be released.

But the franchise isn't ending there. Peacock is currently developing a live-action TV adaptation of Dungeon Crawler Carl that's being produced by Seth MacFarlane and written by Christopher Yost. Dinniman is serving as an executive producer with MacFarlane, Yost, Erica Huggins and Rachel Hargreaves-Heald. Yost and Eric Heisserer will be the showrunners.

In June, Peacock announced a series order for its Dungeon Crawler Carl adaptation, and then a month later, it was revealed that the audiobook's narrator, Jeff Hays, would voice Princess Donut. The rest of the cast hasn't been announced yet.
