India won the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka 1-0 despite settling for a draw in the second Test in Colombo on Thursday.
It was India’s first multi-Test assignment since it suffered a home series whitewash against South Africa last year. It was also India’s first international assignment since its T20I series against Zimbabwe in July.
India’s next assignment is a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, which has replaced India’s planned tour of Bangladesh. The matches will be played in Delhi, with the series beginning on September 13.
India’s next Test assignment will be a two-match tour of New Zealand, beginning on November 19. The two Tests will be played in Wellington and Christchurch.
India’s next assignments
Next white-ball match: India vs Afghanistan, 1st T20 — New Delhi — September 13
Next Test match: New Zelaand vs India, 1st Test — Wellington — November 19
