Egyptian ambassador to Ramallah presents credentials to Palestinian president

Egypt’s Ambassador to Palestine Bassem Abdel Hady, head of the Egyptian mission in Ramallah, presented his credentials to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday during an official ceremony.

Abdel Hady conveyed a message from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to Abbas, reaffirming Egypt’s commitment to continuing its support for the Palestinian people across various fields and standing by them in defending their legitimate rights.

The Egyptian ambassador stressed that Egypt would continue to support the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights, foremost among them the establishment of an independent state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Expressing his pride in assuming his duties as Egypt’s ambassador to the State of Palestine, Abdel Hady stressed that Egypt would spare no effort in supporting the Palestinian people.

He also emphasized that the Palestinian issue remains at the heart of the conflict in the region, adding that achieving regional security and stability requires a just and comprehensive settlement based on the two-state solution, leading to the establishment of an independent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state.
