Understandable. Let's break it down.

Keyone Jenkins fumble overturned by replay review
With UCF at the BYU 38-yard line, quarterback Keyone Jenkins dropped back to pass amid a heavy pass rush. He took a sack, and the ball popped free, with the defense recovering with 10 seconds left.
But a review deemed Jenkins' arm was moving forward when he released the ball. Officials overturned the ruling on the field to an incompletion and kept the Knights alive.
More than that, actually.

UCF caught another break when Keanu Tanuvasa drew an unsportsmanlike conduct flag and pushed the offense to the 28-yard line with a new set of chains.
Referees struggle to get clock right

UCF immediately sent the field-goal unit onto the field.
But the referees paused the action before the kick.
They added five seconds, resetting the game clock for 0:15. This brought the Knights' offense back out for a spike and a throw out of bounds to kill another four seconds.
That wouldn't be the last of the time debacles.
BYU blocks potential game-winning kick
The Cougars blocked the ensuing 46-yard field goal try by Will Stone. Stone picked up the loose ball and ran it back to the line of scrimmage, but his helmet popped off on the tackle.

The clock stopped with two seconds remaining, and UCF rushed backup kicker Noah McGough on.
But because Stone's helmet came off, the referees got together and enforced a 10-second runoff, shoving the proceedings to overtime.
There, the Knights prevailed, and their fans stormed the turf.
UCF prevails, fans storm the field
When it was all over, Jenkins threw touchdown passes to Josh Derry and Grayson Brousseau in the overtime, and the Knights found a way to keep BYU out of the end zone during the second overtime to win, 39-31.
And that set off the ultimate party at the Bounce House.
