Gotta Go Fast and Hunt Demons This October in These Free PlayStation Plus Games

October is a month filled with longer nights, spooky ghost stories and plenty of ghouls and monsters. If you subscribe to any PlayStation Plus plan, you can enjoy those things from the comfort of your cozy home by playing Hunt: Showdown 1896 starting on Oct. 6.

PlayStation Plus, which is Sony’s version of Xbox Game Pass, offers a large, constantly expanding library of games. Subscribers can choose from the Essential, Extra and Premium tiers, each with unique perks and benefits. Starting at $11 a month, the plans give subscribers access to monthly games and rewards, and each month, all subscribers can access a handful of games at no additional charge.

Here are all the games PlayStation Plus subscribers can play from Oct. 6 until Nov. 2.

Hunt: Showdown 1896

Danger lurks around every corner in this player-versus-player extraction shooter set in an alternate 19th century. You can play as a bounty hunter with up to two others searching for one of six demons across four open-world maps, or you can fight against other players for loot. No matter what, you should have a wicked good time.

The officially licensed video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One Championship is coming to PlayStation Plus. Two new teams joined the F1 franchise in this series installment: Audi and Cadillac, the first major US car manufacturer in F1. You’ll also experience lighter, smaller cars in this installment, which presents all-new driving mechanics you’ll have to learn. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2

The square Earth is in pieces… again! Giant ants, spiders, bees and other gargantuan enemies are wreaking havoc, and it’s up to you and your team to stop them.
