Actors Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys have been together for nearly 13 years, but marriage may never be on the cards.During an appearance on Chelsea Handler’s ‘Dear Chelsea’ podcast on Thursday, October 8, ‘The Diplomat’ star spoke about her relationship with Rhys, and her preference for keeping their personal life private.When Handler pointed out that she liked the fact that Russell was not married, the actor agreed, explaining, “Yep, I love it too. It is fun. I’ve had a big party. I get to dress up all time time. And I know for a lot of people, marriage is something different. People used to have to be married to have a credit card. We can have credit cards now. I don’t need my last name to go away.”“Like, I’m cool,” she added. “If you want to be here, be here.

Russell also agreed with Handler’s take that relationships can be more exciting when couples are not married. Handler said, “To me, I find being in a long-term relationship with someone sexier because no one’s in for sure the whole time. It’s still an auditioning process.”However, the actress went on to admit, “P.S., we have kids, so that’s forever. To me, it’s antiquated.”
