Scotland had more shots, shots on target and possession than Slovenia but they just couldn't find that crucial goal in their League B Group 1 opener.

Facing Switzerland is a tough task for Scotland but Pocognoli's side will also play North Macedonia and Slovenia again before this extended international break is over.

Switzerland, who reached the World Cup quarter-finals in the summer before losing against Argentina, comfortably beat North Macedonia 3–0 in their opening Nations League clash.

Murat Yakin’s side look the favourites to win League B Group 1 which will see them secure promotion back to League A.
