India’s Lovlina Borgohain beat China’s Bao Ziyi to win the gold medal in women’s 75kg boxing event at the Asian Games 2026 on Friday.
With this, Lovlina became the second Indian woman boxer to bag an Asiad gold, after Mary Kom, who won the Women’s Flyweight competition in Incheon 2014.
In Hangzhou 2022, Lovlina had won silver in the same event.
India now has 10 gold medals in boxing at the Asian Games.
