Temporary rise in temperatures across Egypt on Wednesday

Translate

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a continued temporary rise in temperatures across most of the country on Wednesday, bringing intensely hot and humid conditions during the day, while turning milder at night – defying expectations that September would bring a drop in temperatures.

Conditions will range from mild to slightly hot and humid during the early morning and at night, and become intensely hot and humid during the day across most regions, while remaining hot and humid along the northern coasts.

There will be an approximately 20 percent chance of light rainfall in parts of the northwestern coast and the northern Lower Egypt.

There is also a 10 percent chance of moderate, occasionally thunderous rain occurring intermittently in parts of Halayeb, Shalateen, southern Aswan, Sallum, Siwa, Matrouh, and South Sinai.

Winds will occasionally pick up, reaching speeds of 30–33 km/h in parts of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai, and the Red Sea Governorate – this will help improve weather conditions during the evening, particularly in open areas.
