Gift articles to your friends with our new subscriber feature

Translate

Subscribers can now share our articles with friends and family by using our new gifting feature.

This added benefit lets Starter Digital subscribers gift three articles per month, while Premium Digital readers can share five articles per month. That includes subscriber-only articles.

Gifted articles can be read for free for up to seven days or three visits, whichever comes first. Your number of gifting credits will reset at the start of each month. Unused credits will not carry over to the following month.

“Our quality journalism sparks conversations (and sometimes fierce debate) everyday between families, friends and colleagues,” said Luke McIlveen, Executive Editor of The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Brisbane Times and WAtoday.

“This new function means that our subscribers can easily share articles that have grabbed their attention, and give the gift of great journalism.”

How do I gift an article?

Click on the gift icon at the top of any article, including live coverage. You can find the icon alongside the reporter’s name, next to the save and share buttons.

Select ‘share article as gift’ to generate a unique link, which you can copy and share with others. Recipients will have complimentary access to the article for up to three visits, and the link will expire after seven days.

You can also see the number of gifting credits remaining that month.
