Is Kai Cenat Single? Streamer Denies Having A Girlfriend As Dating Rumors With Gigi Surface Online

Kai Cenat's trip back to Japan with Ray has brought an old question back up. While streaming in Tokyo this week, the Twitch star was asked straight out on camera whether he has a girlfriend, and he did not hesitate. "No, no, no, not a girlfriend," Kai Cenat said, adding that he is "just working" right now. The answer came as fans online claimed his ex, Gigi Alayah, had been spotted with him in Tokyo, something neither of them has confirmed.

Kai Cenat says he is not looking for a girlfriend

The question caught him off guard at first. "Say that again?" Kai Cenat asked, before repeating it back: "Do I have a girlfriend?" He answered with a long string of no's.

Then the person he was talking to brought up Tokyo, and he saw where it was going. "You trying to be messy, huh?" Kai Cenat said, laughing it off. The question came again, more directly: "You were looking for a girlfriend in Tokyo the other day, weren't you?" He flatly denied it. "I was looking for a girlfriend in Tokyo. No, I was not," he said.

Kai Cenat blames Ray

Kai Cenat had an easy way out. "Mario Kart, Mario Kart," he said, before pointing straight at his co-host on the trip.

"No, that was Ray," he said. "Ray was looking for a girlfriend." Kai Cenat did not say what actually happened that day, and the person asking simply went along with it: "Yes, yes." Ray, who first met Kai Cenat outside a 7-Eleven in Japan in 2023, is with him for the Returning 2 Japan stream, which started on October 21. He has not responded to being named as the one on the hunt.

Kai Cenat and Gigi split in December 2025

Kai Cenat has stuck to the same line since his breakup with Gigi Alayah. On December 27, 2025, he posted on X: "I'm single I will never be in another relationship again."

Gigi Alayah answered at the time that she was the one who ended it, and denied claims that she had cheated. In January, messages shared by Kai Cenat's assistant appeared to show her talking to another man. She called them misleading and disputed them in a long YouTube video. Nobody has shown any proof that Gigi Alayah is in Tokyo with Kai Cenat. She has not commented on the claims, and Kai Cenat did not mention her by name on stream.
