AFCON 2027Q: CAF Appoints Ethiopian Officials For Guinea-Bissau Vs Super Eagles

The Confederation of African Football , CAF, has appointed a team of Ethiopian officials to oversee Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between Guinea-Bissau and Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The Group L encounter is scheduled to kick off at 4pm local time in Guinea-Bissau (5pm Nigerian time) at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau.

Tewodros Mitiku has been appointed as the centre referee, with compatriots Fasika Biru Fasika and Tigle Belachew serving as the first and second assistant referees, respectively. Manuhe Woldetsadik will be the fourth official.

Senegal’s Yaya Balde will serve as the match commissioner, while former FIFA referee Papa Bakary Gassama of The Gambia has been appointed as the referee assessor.

The Super Eagles began their qualifying campaign with a 2-1 victory over Madagascar, while Guinea-Bissau secured a 2-0 win against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars in their opening fixture.

Guinea-Bissau currently lead Group L on goal difference, ahead of Nigeria, setting the stage for a crucial second-round encounter in Bissau.
