Jakarta (ANTARA) - Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara reported that non-tax state revenue (PNBP) grew 41.7 percent to Rp492.3 trillion (US$26.7 billion) as of September 30, 2026.

He explained that the increase in revenue was driven by, among other things, surplus deposits from Bank Indonesia (BI), revenues from the Forest Area Regulation Task Force (PKH Task Force), and rising energy and mineral commodity prices.

"PNBP revenues have now totaled Rp492.3 trillion (US$26.7 billion), a 41.7 percent increase compared to last year," he conveyed during the state budget press conference on Friday.

The minister outlined that revenues from separated state assets (KND) reached Rp58 trillion (US$3.1 billion), with the largest contribution coming from the BI surplus of approximately Rp55 trillion (US$2.9 billion).

Furthermore, the Forest Area Regulation Task Force generated Rp57.1 trillion (US$3 billion) in state revenue during the 2025–2026 period.

Of this amount, Rp38.65 trillion (US$2.1 billion) was recorded as non-tax state revenue (PNBP) and fines, while Rp18.45 trillion (US$1 billion) was included in tax revenue.

Suahasil stressed that proceeds from forest area regulation support the government's efforts to improve forest utilization governance and increase state revenue.

"This is a positive development, regulating our forest areas. Some areas have been returned to forest areas, but fines and taxes go to the state treasury," the minister continued.

Furthermore, revenues from oil and gas natural resources reached Rp90.9 trillion (US$4.9 billion), a 19.4 percent annual increase in line with the rise in the Indonesian crude oil price (ICP).

Meanwhile, non-oil and gas natural resource revenues reached Rp132.2 trillion (US$7.1 billion), representing a 30.1 percent increase, primarily driven by rising coal and mineral prices and changes to the Mineral Reference Price (HPM) calculation formula.

Revenues from Public Service Agencies (BLU) reached Rp93.9 trillion (US$5.1 billion), an increase compared to Rp70.2 trillion (US$3.8 billion) in the same period last year.
