Shubman Gill had a quiet outing for Fazilka Falcons against Bathinda Royals during the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Thursday.

Opening the innings for Falcons, Gill only managed to hit two fours before pacer Sumit Sharma cleaned him up at the score of nine off seven balls.

The India Test and ODI captain wanted to play a pull off a length ball against Sumit, but the ball didn’t bounce enough as he ended up chopping it onto the stumps.

Sumit was delighted after picking the crucial wicket and gave a flying kiss in direction of Gill to celebrate the dismissal.

However, there wasn’t much delight thereafter for the Royals as Vihaan Malhotra, Pranshu Pratap and Sanvir Singh hit quickfire half-centuries to take Falcons to 244/6.

Royals captain Gurnoor Brar finished with the figures 0/45 in his four overs. His side lost the game by 49 runs.
