Coronation Street fans outraged as Jodie endangers baby Harper: "Enough is enough"

Translate

Coronation Street viewers were left outraged tonight by villain Jodie Ramsey's latest actions. The divisive character has been trying to come between her sister Shona and her husband David, with her schemes becoming increasingly more twisted.

Tonight (15 September), Shona was preparing a bath for baby Harper. But when she wasn't looking, Jodie poured a kettle of boiling water into the tub.

Luckily, David tested the water before Harper got in, though he ended up burning himself, with Jodie feigning concern and Shona getting the blame.

However the move didn't make David turn on his wife and instead he agreed that they both deserve some time to themselves, meaning Jodie will only have to up the ante.

On X, fans expressed their outrage at Jodie, with one viewer asking: "How long is Jodie going to be evil towards Shona for? This has got to come to an end soon, surely?"

Another wrote: "Enough is enough with Jodie on Coronation Street. Putting boiling water in the baby bath is not on."

As more fans expressed their dislike for the character and that storyline, feeling it has dragged on too long without any real answers as to why Jodie is behaving like this, others showed their support.

"Okay this Jodie hate is so forced," wrote one viewer. "It’s a slow burn story that has been bubbling all year and whilst we don’t know what her goal is yet I have faith the pay off will be worth it- it’s clearly accelerating now!"

Another added: "Jodie making her next move now she’s so evil. Olivia Frances-Brown does it so well."

With every setback only making Jodie more determined to destroy her sister, what will Shona do next?

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
