Gatchalian: Marcos’ ‘bucket’ advice practical amid expected El Niño

MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian on Tuesday agreed with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s advice for Filipinos to buy buckets and collect rainwater in preparation for possible water shortages during the expected Super El Niño.
“He’s right. His suggestion is practical because of the El Niño phenomenon. It should be the rainy season now, but we’re seeing rain that comes only sporadically. So, it’s important that we be prepared,” Gatchalian said over DZRH.
“His suggestion to buy buckets and prepare for possible water interruptions in various parts of the country is practical,” he added.
