The Pittsburgh Steelers have found success at home this season, but replicating that level of play on the road remains a challenge.

Former Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden believes the team's offensive inconsistency away from Pittsburgh is a major factor in the difference. Speaking after the Steelers' win over the Indianapolis Colts, McFadden believes the Steelers' biggest challenge is maintaining the same level of offensive production regardless of where they play.

"Honestly, the issue with Pittsburgh, especially when they're on the road, is you don't see the consistency or the explosiveness in the offense," McFadden said. "But then at home, something clicks where we see a more explosive offense, splash plays are there and defensively they're an opportunistic group, especially in the red zone."

McFadden expressed that the Steelers need to prove they can compete at the same level away from Pittsburgh, rather than relying on the boost of playing in front of their home crowd.

The win over Indianapolis also gave Pittsburgh a much-needed response after its disappointing performance against the Cleveland Browns. McFadden noted that the Steelers needed to bounce back rather than risk another poor showing.

Pittsburgh also continued its strong home history against Indianapolis. Before Sunday's game, the Steelers held a 14-1 all-time record against the Colts at home. The victory improved that mark to 15-1.
