KAJANG, Oct 22 — The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) is actively working to restore and upgrade the Tuju navigation app after a surge in users triggered technical disruptions, the agency said today.

In a media statement, LLM apologised to users for the difficulties experienced when using the application.

The agency stated that it is currently taking action with the app’s provider, Prosignal Consortium Sdn Bhd (PCSB), to identify the root cause of the disruptions, restore system stability, and increase the application’s capacity to handle the growing number of users.

LLM issued the statement after receiving widespread public feedback regarding the app’s technical glitches, which occurred following Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s suggestion to consider using the local navigation application.

Beyond system stability, LLM said it is also addressing user feedback concerning navigation functions, route accuracy, and the overall user experience.

“Improvements will continue to be implemented to ensure that Tuju can provide more stable, accurate, and user-friendly services,” the agency said, as reported by Bernama.

LLM noted that the public’s trust must be built through reliable service quality.

Therefore, it said efforts to strengthen Tuju encompass not only system stability but also enhancing navigation functions, data accuracy, and the application’s capacity to meet user needs.

Tuju was initially introduced on November 26, 2025, as a highway navigation app developed by PCSB in collaboration with LLM.

It provides features such as traffic condition updates and emergency assistance to support users during highway journeys.

In line with the government’s focus on strengthening cybersecurity and national digital sovereignty, LLM added that it will continue to collaborate with the Ministry of Works (KKR), the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), and other relevant parties to bolster the local navigation ecosystem, including aspects of security and data governance.

Users experiencing issues or wishing to provide feedback regarding the application can do so by emailing [email protected].

Note: The Malaysian Highway Authority is known as Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM) in Malay.
