Inside Colman Domingo's Emmys night grooming prep: His groomer reveals the $39 secret behind his red-carpet glow

Colman Domingo may make red-carpet grooming seem effortless, but preparing for Emmy Awards night is actually a meticulously choreographed process.

Domingo, 56, is an Emmy winner and two-time Oscar nominee known for Rustin, Sing Sing and Euphoria. This year, he earned Emmy nominations for playing Ali on HBO's Euphoria and Danny on Netflix's The Four Seasons. He heads into Monday night's ceremony nominated for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series for The Four Seasons.

His longtime groomer, Jamie Richmond, gave the Daily Mail a look inside the exact routine she uses to get him there.

'For the Emmys, my goal with Colman was healthy, hydrated skin, impeccable facial hair and a glow that would hold up from the first red-carpet photo to the last party of the night,' she said.

Here is how she does it, step by step.

STEP 1: THE SERUM

'I want the beard to look clean, intentional and incredibly well-maintained, but never overly sculpted.'

STEP 5: THE PRIMER
