Taylor Hanson Signs With WME (Exclusive)

Translate

Taylor Hanson has signed with WME for worldwide representation in all areas.

The Grammy-nominated singer competed on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars this year, and has been working on his debut solo album, planned for release in 2027.

The Oklahoma- and Los Angeles-based artist got his early rise as part of Hanson, the band he formed with his brothers Isaac and Zac; they released their major label debut Middle of Nowhere in 1997, when he was merely 14 years old. The lead single “MMMBop” was a hit, reaching No. 1 in 27 countries. The record’s release resulted in Hanson’s three Grammy nominations as part of the band.

Hanson was also previously part of the supergroup Tinted Windows, alongside Bun E Carlos (Cheap Trick), James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins) and Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne).

Outside of music, Hanson is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and activist. He founded Food On The Move in 2014, which distributes millions of pounds of fresh produce to members of the Oklahoma community. He’s also an advocate for music education in schools, equitable laws and industry standards, having worked with Save The Music, MusiCares and GrammyU. He currently works as national co-chair of advocacy for the Recording Academy.

Hanson was partnered with Britt Stewart on DWTS‘ 35th season, who raved about their partnership in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I was born in ’89, so I grew up in the ’90s, and that’s when Hanson was number one on the charts. I am a millennial so I can appreciate the significance of Taylor Hanson and how awesome it is for him to be on Dancing With the Stars,” Stewart said. “I sighed in relief when he told me during our first meet, ‘I will do whatever you need me to do. If that means buying a cot and sleeping at the dance studio so we can rehearse all the time, that is what I will do.’ I was like, Okay, he wants to work for this. He’s in it to win it. That commitment is so important.”
