There's only love between Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen beyond the villa.

Two months after E! News confirmed that the Love Island USA season seven runners-up split, Vansteenberghe shared what their relationship looks like post-breakup.

"We have a lot of love for each other," he exclusively told E! News' Keltie Knight at the 2026 Video Music Awards on Sept. 27. "We're constantly supporting each other."

Simply put, "I'll always be her number one fan." (See all the stars at the 2026 VMAs here.)

Instead, the 25-year-old is focusing on making some hot new music after debuting his first single, a remix of "3am" by Laszewo, in February.

"We're coming out with new EDM music," he said to E! at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. "We love house, love upstep. It's coming out in the next few weeks."

As for whether Vansteenberghe—who was previously coupled up with contestant Cierra Ortega before her exit from the season—will be warming up his vocal cords for upcoming projects?

"We have vocalists doing that part," he explained. "I'm not. I'm more of the computer beats kind of guy."

While the reality star may not be ready to pull anyone for a chat about what went down between him and Carthen, he did previously share insight into their decision to break up.

"The rumors are true," he wrote in a July subscribers-only TikTok. "I didn't want to give people false hope, so I want to clear the air. We will continue to love each other ALWAYS. It's a sensitive, as well as a private subject, thank you for respecting our privacy."

As Vansteenberghe navigated their breakup, he shared some much-needed advice for anyone else nursing a broken heart, including “absolutely” remaining friends under one condition.

“If you end healthily, it’s cool,” he explained. “Sometimes it’s better to maybe not be friends, but in my case, yes. We ended on a good note.”

And keeping a positive outlook amid that chapter was essential.
