Kareena Kapoor asks Mira Rajput about becoming a mother at 21, she says, 'Shahid Kapoor was extremely supportive, takes care of the sports, diet of the kids'

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput got married in 2015, when Mira was 21. A year later, the couple welcomed their daughter, Misha. Mira has now reflected on becoming a mother at a young age and how the experience shaped her journey in an interview with Kareena Kapoor Khan.During their conversation, Kareena asked Mira if she would have preferred to embrace motherhood at a different stage in life. Mira said she would not change anything about her journey. She shared on What Women Want, “I don't think so. Regardless of what stage it comes to you, motherhood is a challenge. You and I have had kids in different stages but I am sure we both have had those challenges. With raising children, feeling overwhelmed, and I think at that time what helped me was that I had Shahid who was extremely supportive.

I had my two sisters who had already had kids. I didn't read a single book because I saw them raising children. Ofcourse it had challenges but I would not have it any other way."When Kareena asked Mira about dividing the parenting duties with Shahid, she said, "I think it is very important to share responsibilities between husband and wife because one person can’t do everything.” She further explained how they have divided responsibilities at home.

“With us at home, sports and diet are taken care of by Shahid, while I handle homework, birthday parties, classes and general behaviour. But if either of us are travelling, then the other one has to do it.

”Mira also spoke about the bond she shares with her children, saying she enjoys spending time with them and understands how they communicate. She added that one thing she particularly likes about becoming a mother early is that she will be 41 when Misha turns 21.Shahid and Mira had an arranged marriage in 2015. The two reportedly met through their shared spiritual beliefs. They are parents to two children, daughter Misha and son Zain.Interestingly, Kareena and Shahid were in a relationship for around four years, from 2004 to 2007. Kareena went on to marry actor Saif Ali Khan in 2012, while Shahid tied the knot with Mira three years later. Fans lauded Kareena and Mira for being so secure and comfortable around each other.
